He was just brilliant !!!!! Then walked off the stage and handed his guitar to some lucky guy in the audiensce Either way, I think I will have to dig into Prince's stuff to find if all his new stuff sounds this good. EDIT: Thats a funny looking strat hes playing there, wonder what model that is? Seems to have SC at neck and some kind of covered HB at bridge?? I think that's the video where Prince gets the solo towards the end and just destroys it. Prince is highly underrated as a guitarist and his image certainly overshadows how brilliant he is on the ol' six string. He did the halftime show at the superbowl a few years ago and really showed his chops. I've been a fan of Prince for a very long time and most of his songs have great guitar parts in them. Lots of great funk licks and some pretty great solos but unfortunately the synthesizer usually drowns them out a bit especially in stuff like "When Doves Cry" or "1999".
