> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Sounds great - I can only hear a few hand sync noises to comment on.

However it seems you did not use the same arrangement as the Kosei so I cannot grade you. Namely I could hear the trill at 00:14 in the lesson, is missing in your take.

It turned out the the trill was missing from the guitar pro file in the lesson. This will be fixed. Meanwhile we can still proceed with grading this one. I am giving you a 9 - well done!

WOW!! This is just great. You have a very well developed finger picking technique and your hand synchronization is top notch. If you had any drift in your hand synch, this would certainly have made it stick out like a sore thumb. Good new is you don't have any hand synch issues that I can hear! That alone is worth quite a bit in my book. This is NOT an easy bit of music. It's pure classical guitar playing and you do it quite well. Are you a trained classical player? It sure looks that way. Either way well done!! SOLID 9!!!!Todd

you sound really good - execution-wise. Only few notes a little off but I have a general tip due the fact I spend years playing classical guitar. Your right hand should be more angled in the wrist - comnig at the string from the top (players point of view) like an angled head of a bird. Only the fingers do the job - wrist doesnt have to move . Instead typical electric guitar rightr hand positioning, we do NOT rest the hand on the bridge or we do NOT kkep it that much flat. You hand reminds more of a "chicken-pickiing" country player position, not a classcal.

As for the tone - I understand your concept of geting close to warm sound of classical guitar but next time try to find a swet spot - it may be just a "scratch" on the tone knob...but just a little of clarity is missing (not the treble but ttoo much mids taken off randomly while rolling off the treble.

Nothing serious to complain here. Just a few tips for the future. Well done smile.gif
