My girlfriend's Mum decided to buy us a Xmas cake but it was just a cake with no topping on it, you know, the fruit cake part. So she also bought some marzipan and icing so they could create the outer topping on it. My girlfriend finished it off yesterday and it's been waiting for me ever since, just lurking in the microwave (so the dogs can't get it). I've not been allowed near it yet.... but I'm hungry and it's only a matter of time. Maybe I should sneak it out of the house and take it over to Cosmin and we can have a cake session !! In fact, the cake is so excessive I couldn't even finish that one slice and left it in the microwave and conqeuered the rest of it a short while ago. The marzipan must be about 1 ½ cm thick !
