Hi Mad! Great to see you working hard!

I think that you are getting close to master this technique and lesson but there is still room to improvements. I think that there are basically two things to mark to mark on this take:

1. Be careful with the pitch of your vibrato in the first section. Sometimes you reach the next chromatic note and sounds like out of tune.
2. The rhythm of your vibrato isn't tight as it happens with the original lesson. This makes that your technique doesn't sound consistent and related with the backing's groove.

For both things, the best would be to keep on practicing this lesson over the original take, trying to compare pitches and the rhythm used. Then get back again to practice just with the backing and we'll see if there are improvements. Please keep me updated using our thread. wink.gif

That was brilliant, really very impressive.

Try to see if you can get the whole tone vibrato happening on the faster bits. As soon as you speed up at 0:14 you don't quite manage to get the whole tones.. they're just slightly under.

But when you play the full speed vibrato it sounds really good. So you don't actually have to make your vibrato wider because you've already got it happening wink.gif But if you had the ability to make it even wider if you needed it then that would be useful too !

Hey Marc!

Vibrato is a very subtle technique and Ben has presented some very interesting examples in this lesson, which are prone to bring in some headaches for the folks trying the lesson biggrin.gif Well, you fared nicely and if you take the suggestions that Ben and Gabi have already brought on the table, you will surely develop better timing and pitch skills in respect to vibrato smile.gif

Now, take this one for a spin on slow speed keeping the things above in mind and see how it feels!

All the best,

Cosmin
