Especially a FANNED 8 STRING!!! What is the point you ask? The fanned frets allow the higher strings to bend easier while allowing the lower strings to have higher tension for better tone. IT's a great way to build extended range guitars. Having played wads of 8 strings guitars I can tell you honestly that fanned fret 8s just play better IMHO and are more expressive instruments.
