Hey everyone. My name is Chris, and I just joined up. I'm probably a little older than most of the members, but here is my deal. I've been playing guitar for about 15 years, been in various bands around the US. I got sick about 2 years ago, and stopped playing, lost motivation. Now I'm back, ready to get back into music, and I'm trying to get my playing abilities back. I figured why not see if getting some lessons while getting my chops back could erase bad habits (because I have no habits now) and maybe give me better technique. We'll see how this goes. See you on the forums.

Hey Chris,

Glad to have you here! I believe we have some other members with a similar experience.

Mat I ask what bands you played in?

Thanks for the welcome.

Kris--

I've been in a lot of bands, but none that ever got anywhere. Some never even got as far as having a name. I played mostly in a band in Austin, Texas called The Drugstore Cowboys, but there was another band by that name, so as we got a little bigger the name was changed a couple times, and ended up the American Idles. I also played in band called Mindshaker in Seattle, and was in a couple other bands that remain nameless. Those are the most recent, but the last time I played in a band was 2 years ago.
