ok I've been at the guitar for about ... 4 or 5 weeks and discovered this site about a week ago and i need some one to give me some direction, I've done the 6 beginner lessons and the John Frusciante Style lesson and can play it with the backing track but i dont know where to go from here. the style of music i like is the power metal like iron maiden, megadeath, avenged seven fold, and that kind of stuff also into green day - rock. and the Intermediate Rock Lesson, 80s Hard Rock Lesson, Rocker Riff 2, seem i little to difficult for me currently and I also need a good base to build off of and am afraid im not exactly getting that - such as chords and other foundation stuff.

can any one help me out?

Hey there Neosmithk,

We will pretty soon get a new structure which will facilitate finding exactly the level of difficulty you need.

Until then I have taken a screen shot from the beta version of the new gmc structure - hopefully some of the lessons will help you, they are all "easier" lessons (sorry about the singing and bass lessons in here).

hey kris i'm also almost donne with the beghiner kick.i'm just missing to finish the lick and bare chords, but for example it's no easy to decide me if i'm ready to move to next stuff if i'm see you play the exercises rolleyes.gif

i'm also know how to play John Frusciante Style lesson ..but i'm have to put this on right speed
and here is my question.i'm was see lot of coments about picking.i'm thing the best way to picking is alternate..but im have hard time to skiping the string with the up and down with the song

so what is your recommendation to me..stay on that alternate and make practise that song and every song with alternate even if instructors playing in diferent way??? becouse im don't wanna be stuck later so it's is the best way to start play all song like that and memorize my self and fingers for that style of picking rolleyes.gif
