Hey!

Before I start I suppose I should mention that if I'm going to import the gear there's a 25% VAT, so please keep that in mind! smile.gif Thanks

I'm going to buy a new guitar and a new amp.

I don't want a locking tremolo on my guitar. I play alot of metal, but also some rock and other various other stuff.
My current amp is a Roland Cube 30x.
I think that's about it. tongue.gif

So, can anyone recommend me a good guitar and a good amplifier? Thanks!

EDIT:

Added info:
I've got around $1500 to spend in total, so that would mean for both together. It's possible that I'll get a couple hundred dollars more, but we'll see.

I would like it to be a tube amp, yes, but anything will do if it's good. I will mainly use it at home for practice, but the future might bring more so I would like to be prepared if possible with my budget.

Let's see... sound. I've always liked Dethklok's guitars. Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stdqPT8LvTg

For shape, I generally prefer the super strat/strat type. I'd like at least 24 frets. Any type of wood will do.

Hi, I've been thinking of getting a new guitar for a little while now, I currenlty have a Squier Showmaster. Anyways, since I have no experience with other guitars, and no knowledge about what's good and what's not, I need help from you guys to choose my new guitar. I've been looking around for a used one, and I found a nice web shop where they sell some cheap Dean and ESP/LTD guitars. I've found a few fitting my price range (~500$):

ESP LTD EX50 - 500$
Ibanez SA260FM (Used) - 533$
Dean ZX Classic - 479$
LTD AX-50 - 540$
LTD Viper-50 - 548$

Are those good? Or more importantly, better than my Squier? And do any of you guys have any bad or good experience with them?

Thanks for replies in advance!

Hi. I started playing guitar about a week ago, I decided to subscribe to this great site and start learning. I started on the beginner lessons, got through the first one pretty easily. Then I went on to the second one about pentatonic scales, and I just can't do it. I keep missing the strings (more than the notes actually) like some crazed monkey!

Do you guys have anything clever that can help me master this?

Hi. My name is Kristian, I'm 14 years old and I'm from Norway. I recently bought a used guitar, took it to the local music shop and got it all well polished and fixed up.

I've always liked music like heavy metal, heavier stuff like melodic black/death metal, softer stuff like rock/metal. Ah, those typical heavy metal solos always get to me, and not to forget the heavy mel. black/death metal riffs.

So anyways, I've read much about this site, and now I hope to learn the magic myself (over time of course).

I hope to have a great time learning from this site! smile.gif
