Hey. After browsing through some of the amazing and varied lessons on here I had to sign up. I've been playing pretty obsessively for about a year and a half now and I've got most of the standard skills sorted. But I still can't sweep and I'd love to improve my theory knowledge, so they're my two main goals now. I've got two guitars, both with EMG 81/85 pickups. One is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom and the other one is an Ibanez RG. I also have a Roland Cube 30x amp and a Zoom G2.1u effects pedal. For the money it's a pretty decent setup.
I'm also a big football fan, and have doomed myself to a year of misery after buying a Crystal Palace FC season ticket
Anyway, I'm off to check out some lessons!
Cheers,
Jason

I once played football in a massive pair of gothic boots, for a laugh of course
They were metal capped and were seriously heavy so my shots were literally flying into the net at lightning speed. The opposition complained to the ref about
`that guy with moon boots` and people liked the sound of it. So there you are. I wouldn't really advise it though as I was slipping all over the place and my ankles hurt like mad

Welcome to GMC .

ps - as a lifelong Everton fan I've known an awful lot of misery as well mate - but things can get better. And I have to say I've always quite like Palace.

Haha thats exactly the same reason this guy had that nickname! Well not the football bit, but the fact that he wore those kind of boots.
Over the years people forgot why he had that nickname and it went through a series of transformations such as Boon-Moots, and eventually Bassoon-Flutes - we were music students, so we naturally found that a right laugh , sad I know!
Anyway, welcome dude, enjoy your stay!

At least you're safely in the Prem! But, what have you done to AJ? He scored 20+ goals in the year we got promoted and I've hardly heard his name since we sold him to you guys.

Bassoon Flutes? Haha, I think I'll steer clear of that one for the time being. Boon Moots sounds scottish to me so I might try that one if I'm ever over the border.

An old man hands over 50 quid to the turnstyle operator at Celtic Park
Man: Two please.
Turnstyle Operator: Sir, will that be Defenders or Strikers?
Only kidding mate, couldn't resist!

You have no idea how close that is to the truth mate
Gordon Strachan thinks defenders are the people who make destratocasters

It's a special Everton thing - we did the same to James (mines a big Mac) Beattie - who seems to have re-discovered his scoring boots now he's left us
. Ah well hopefully AJ will find his scoring boots again and soon
