Hello fellow future guitar gods...

I'm having a bit of recent trouble. I've been watching Kris' videos on "moving out of the box".... expanding upon the fretboard with the 5 pentatonic boxes to a key. I'm having a bit of struggle.

I'm used to the 3 notes per string kind of scale runs when I shred. The pentatonic boxes being mostly 2 notes per string kind of horizontal runs is a problem for me. Is there any video that kind of explores the shredding of pentatonics? I just don't want to make any bad habits as I attempt to speed my pentatonic runs.

Thanks! cool.gif

Found some interesting ideas here

Gives you a couple of examples to get started. Also explains the theory behind the patters(if you don't already know that) so you can experiment one your own.

good luck
