Jamaica Rock, Lesson By Jonathan Burgos |

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Jamaica Rock by Jonathan Burgos
Hello I have been working on this lesson for about 70 days In a first time I worked the legato section which seemed to me inaccessible After a few weeks of metronome, I reached speed to work with the BT Nevertheless, this passage remains the biggest difficulty because it is difficult to reach the precision on the following notes. In my opinion, this is the best recording I’ve done in the past few weeks It’s not perfect, but I want to focus on my other lessons. |

Hi MisterM!
This take reflects that you've been working really hard on this one. It seems easier than it is. Jonathan's playing is full of small details as always. His dynamics, articulation, and other elements like slide, vibrato, and groove are really inspiring here. I think that you already learnt and mastered most of the parts and that this take obviously passes. Maybe you are a bit tired after 70 days of practice, but if you still want to keep in in your diary routine, I would continue polishing details. You can make even more focus on those details. The only lick that can sound cleaner is that fast one at 1:10. This one is the most difficult and from my point of view is very cool! Why don't you keep it in your diary jam practices? Also, do you usually dedicate some time to create your own variations and jams over this same backing? (You can answer this question at the mentoring thread). Congrats on your hard work mate. -------------------- My lessons
