Putting Mp3 Track On Computer

An instructor sent me a backing track for me to use but I can't seem to put it on my computer as a file. It is the same with all the collaboration tracks I have looked at also. All I have is a grey bar that will let me play it, but only if I am on that page. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else encounter this?
