For me, the vocals arent the problem, the problem is Every metalcore band sounds the same, Generic riffs and breakdowns in the extreme. no originality or thought, its like modern hair metal.

Then you havent listened to a lot of metalcore...
And yes I listen to it. If i wanna study JAZZ, i study and listen to jazz. But when im out for a cigarette or just wling or im on the bus, there is no more relaxing for me than listening to metalcore, because its not meant to be musically insane, but like in the backround. For me metalcore is the soothing sound that floats so easily through my ear it just makes me happy!

And if u listen to more metalcore... They dont sound the same... Take this song and put next to a killswitch song... Try to feel the HUGE difference!

Hehe, I dont let people tell me metalcore is bad tongue.gif

Fact: The only good (metal)core bands today are Converge and The Dillinger Escape Plan
The only good -core genre are grindcore and hardcore. Everything else fails in comparison. Period.

The only metalcore band that I can stood was Rammalah (band consisted of ex Blood for blood members so it was kinda Hard core/metal core...).

But on topic. Melodically, its beautiful. I might even study their songwriting process. If there were some talented singer (take russel allen/Warrel Dane....), now that would be BA... But those vocals are killing it for me :-/ Even instrumental would be better IMO :-/

Omg Guys!
I cant believe that musicians actuallly can say such things!!
Its like: RnB sucks.... No it does not!
You guys are just showing a lack of muicality in you.
You cant say something suck at music.
You can say: I dont like em, because of bla bla bla.
But you guys cant hear whats going in the song obviously!
Thats actually a part of being a great musician! To be able to listen to all kinds of styles and see the muicality! To actually give an opinion! There is no FACT fullmetal_tmd. If thats the ONLY good metalcore bands, why are these guys famous? All that remains, Killswitch Engage? And if its the inly good bands, why do I love this song? And killswitch engage?

Guys! It hurts to see u write this! Youre showing a total lack of ability to actually listen to nusic. I cant believe it.

Guys, if you don't like something, show it by saying "Not really my style but..." and do analise the song from an objective point of view or don't say nothing at all...This is like insult to some people, a good musician analises everything and tries to identify everything...For Example, I don't tend to like many jazz pieces but I do acknowledge that I have to learn alot from that style, and who knows, maybe it's because of songs like this, that you get inspiration to create something combined with your knowledge...

It's just my opinion, but Pizoarro is right...

Yup Converge damn good and DEP is the daddy.
Speaking of this kinda vocal style - I used to like In Flames; stuff from Whoracle and The Jester Race - I heard their lastest album the other week, A Sense Of Purpose... what the hell happened??? sad.gif
