They don't have to be 'real', just 'historical'.. Braveheart & The Last Samurai spring to mind. Also, 300 was very enjoyable. I haven't seen Troy yet, is that any good ? Watch it!) and even Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans are among my favs. Immortals is also great. +1 to Ben Hur, watch it as well! The U-boat they used to film this movie is at a museum near me. Talk about living in tight quarters! Some other good epics that haven't been mentioned.
