Hello GMC !

Today I am very happy since this is special occasion for me. I have never before entered any guitar competition until now.
A week ago I was contacted by the owner of the Truth in Music website and asked if I would participate in First Cutting Jazz Competition. He found me trough Youtube and liked my playing so I submitted one of my older Youtube videos there.
First prize is 1000$ but every participant gets Box-set (6CDs) John Coltrane's "Fearless Leader" the early years, by the Prestige label (which I am really looking forward to since I love Coltrane's music and can't get enough of it!).

Voting starts today , for one month you can vote for me. There is 6 participants chosen and approved by owner of the site, I feel honored to be one of them since it is for good cause - spreading Jazz music and letting it live .

It all came as a shock at first since I am not huge on any competitions, but owner insisted I enter so I had no choice really

Just voted for you mate !!! One thing though , when I choose your video and click submit button it sends some info (page refreshes) but there is no feedback from the web site that says "thanks for voting or something smilar"...Hope my votes are counted ??

Backing band was gathered for purpose of doing one of many promotional CD's. I also did some clinics in Music High Schools and Universities with them backing me.
This one was recorded in 2003 I believe in TV Bellamie here in Nis

I will need luck for sure - first time approaching competition from any stand point

There is a lot of repetition and development with arpeggios and sequences.
C minor (aeolian) along with harmonic and melodic minor , but then it modulates up a minor 3rd with Ebmin7 Ab7 Dbmaj7 and at the end cadences back to C minor by doing D min7b5 G7 C min .

We are also plugging a spokesman into that #007 spot, should be up in a day or two. Still working out the bugs as this is a new venture.
