We NEED a dimebag lesson , so i started this petition. i wonder who will sign?
Colin
Well - than we'll have to find an instructor that likes Dimebag, and listens to his music a lot and can actually make a goon "In Style Of" lesson.
I 2nd that.I would love to have dimebag lessons especially for his lead.He uses a lot of effect's though in his leads.Definatly would be cool.Sean conklin could probably do it too.
Dimebag was alright, but his stuff's been overhyped since his death to the point where he's become a martyr for shredding or something, personally I dont see what the big deal is but there seems to be an over-worshiping of the dude .
I dont worship him, i just like his style, his forceful riffing in particular. he was a great guitarist.
There are loads of band with awesome riffs out there so i don't see what's so special about Dimebag's riffs. Personally Rusty Cooley and Outworld have much more powerful songs than Dimebag IMO.
I was never a huge fan of Pantera or Dimebag buutuuttt Dimebag uses a Krank Amp and therefore ill sign for a lession, its always good to see more lessions going up on the site

P.S.He's a great guitarist!!
The thing i like about dime was he had a big heart and he was just a normal, down to earth guy. fame never got to him, he always remembered where he came from. If I ever get into the music business (god Help me), i hope it never goes to my head either. but anyway, Signed, Colin Kauffman
Definitely signed.
Dimebag's solo style was actually, really really based off of EVH's solo style. Quick short patterns, long finger stretches that move toward and away from the guitar nut. There are a bunch of similarities between them. Great players.
Back to topic: Signed. Signed. Signed. Signed!
I'll sign this.
yea cool idea
Yeah he is over hyped still his style is ok. We could all learn something from him. Who exactly killed him? i know he was shot, but by who and why?

It was a guy with a history of mental disturbances, he ended up thinking that the band was reading his mind and laughing at him, so he snaps and shoots a bunch of people including Dimebag in the back of the head a couple times IIRC.
I would love for this lesson, dime is a great guitarist, I started listening to Pantera about 2 1/2 years before he died. when he dies, it really hit me, i was a big fan of Dime, ill be honest and say i cried. I know alot of people say he is the best ever because of his death and the memorials surrounding it in magazines and such. But i really do love this guy, he is one of my favorites, i loved him so much because of his personality and the inspiration he could give me by just sayin "Rip it man!!!" it was great to hear,
But in all honestly, he is probably one of the single greatest riff writers off all time
RIP DIME.
Yeah signed by me too
He was great
Question: What happened to the guy R.I.P. Dime, or w/e his name is??? I havent seen him post in a long time!! Did he move on?, Forget about us ?
Signed
why not an in the style of paul gilbert he's a great guitarist
Paul Gilbert is pretty good but Dimebag has better style in my oppinion. I just like the fact how he uses so many interesting harmonics and whammy bends while combining melodic values to shredding...

signed cus i just got a dimebucker humbucker in my showmaster
well dimebag is a heck of a guitarist so i wouldnt mind doing in the style of lesson
but i would also like a lesson of paul gilbert
Yeah a dimebag lesson would be a great addition to the site. But I do think when ever a musician dies he or she gets a boat load of credit just for the death of that musician. None the less dimebag is a GREAT guitarist, just a tad bit over-rated.

I'ma going to sign against it, there a more important things this site could have vids for.
Oh Thanks That helps
i think RIP DIME's subscription has run out and he's unable to renew at this time. he said so in a post a while ago.
i'd be down for a dimebag style lesson. i think he was a great guitarist; however, i think some people think he's a little TOO good, probably because of how he is now idolized due to his death (which was a very sad thing). kinda like kurt cobain jimi hendrix etc BUT that's not a bad thing i think all of those artists were amazing at what they did so YEAH i SIGN
why not? he wasnt my favorite, but he did have a style worth studying. its just one lesson, its not like we have to devote the entire site to the guy. i wouldnt mind having a few of his riffs/licks under my belt.

Sure be ass hell, that I will sign it:)
Also, we might use some Max Cavalera lesson, Alexi Laiho lesson and Marc Rizzo lesson (Flamenco shredding? YAY!) :-P
Can anyone tell me whats so good about Dime? ive never heard any of Pantera's songs neither Dime's solos, so can anyone tell me please. Or is he just another Kurt Cobain...by this i mean that both are very..hmm idk the word in english.
