Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Really strong take ! You've got good timing and restraint. cool.gif

Your picking hand is very relaxed, which is a good thing. Just be aware of being able to mute unused strings with the side of your hand. Your picking hand lies quite parallel with the strings at the moment. There's nothing actually wrong with that, but when you're playing the lower strings like E and A, you're leaving the higher strings exposed. If your hans accidentally brushes a string then it might give you unwanted noise. Try experimenting with using the side of your hand (the side with your little finger) to rest against the strings (almost in a Karate chop style) and mute the unused strings smile.gif

Well played, well controlled. The guitar is a bit quiet, possibly try to fix it next time. You have a good timing on this one, and keep it tight, but vibrato needs to be better. Try to practice it more with the metronome so you achieve full control over it.

Hey man, as Ivan and Ben said, your timing is good and the take has tightness to it! I say widen the vibrato, get more and more into the guitar lines so that you can be more expressive! Good job mate!

A solid take. It is true that the guitar is quite quiet in a mix, so it's very difficult to detect possible errors. Besides vibrato, which you should work on it a bit, everything else is very good!
