Hey man
You have to learn to mute the strings on upstrokes especially with the fret hand.Using your finger's as soon as you pull off and go to the next string try to just varly hover then over the string .Not enough to play a note just enough to kill the excess noise. smile.gif You know how you have to roll your ringer on some sweeps that are like
----14-
-----14
-------14
well when you do a pattern like that your using your part of your finger to mute the previous string.Same applies to the rest. It's tuff man and i'm still working on it myself but that the way i think you need to try it.

Just lay your index finger on the string, slightly touching it and you'll kill noise for sure. smile.gif
If I got you right, you're trying some "two hand tapping",right?
Take something to do dumpener work, like sock or som...

Like other's said, use you'r index finger of you'r fretting hand, or do it like me and use you'r picking hand's unused fingers to mute the unused strings, I hope this makes sense to you.

Yeah Iluha got it right.
If you're playing on just one string, this solution is great as well.

huh.gif

But if you stay on the high e string (the thin one), then you don't have to mute the other lower strings (that sound lower, but are higher smile.gif ), right?? unsure.gif
Because they are heavier and don't move (as much) as the high e string is when you're on the b string? unsure.gif

I'm quite bad at muting strings.. In fact I think I can only mute the low e string with my right hand, and sometimes (if I have the time smile.gif ) with my left hand (usually I use the whole hand on all the strings, or so I think biggrin.gif ). End of complaint. smile.gif
