Hey there smile.gif

I saw this new lesson from Walli on the front page,
Allman Brothers Style, and I loved it so much
that I jumped right into it... Now I changed it a little
bit, to make it sound, well, me biggrin.gif But I don't know if it
turned up that good, and does it give justice to the original,
but eitherway here it is smile.gif

Attached File  Allman_Brothers_Lesson.mp3 ( 1021.56K ) Number of downloads: 254

Give me feedback smile.gif

And David, excellent lesson... Keep 'em coming smile.gif

Cheers

you were pretty good. bends were pretty precise. Especially so fast. I would work on more vibrato, and better quality vibrato. I need to work on that myself. Thanks for reminding me. But you sounded good I thought. Got the soulful sound to it, and were smooth.

Thanks mate, I appreciate it smile.gif Yeah, I have had comments on my vibrato in the past, maybe I should start looking more into it smile.gif

Not that it was bad. It would be the same for me. Sometimes when I am playing, I think "focus on your vibrato, put it on as many notes as you can". I was being picky to mention that, your tone was good, your bends pretty precise.

Not bad,bit I would prefer a slightly less verb tone than what you have here playing over this backing.

good playing, needs(imo)more uses of vibrato from various widths and speeds and more in your string bends.

Thanks smile.gif I don't really understand what you mean by verb tone... And, yes, I'm very aware of my vibrato biggrin.gif

I ment a more drier sound,it sounds like your way in the distance playing over this!Tone is a personal thing and its hard to talk about it without showing it to you 1st

The above track is a recording I did with my band yesterday-the solos are rolled off guitar volume through a loud tube amp and dont sound like there recorded on a mountain top.lol

There are two guitairists in my band,Will plays the 1st solo and the last one and i take the middle one and guitar fills

hope that clears it up:)

My Korg, yes, AX5G, It seems like either me or that machine isn't very good in making nice sounds tongue.gif I think the names are different, for instance, one of the amps is called US modern.

Great take on Davids lesson ! I liked it a lot, lots of feeling in it! Also you captured a similar guitar tone to David's ! Nice job overall!

That was an awesome lesson and I'm planning on taking it myself.

One of my favourite songs is Jessica by The Almann Brothers, so hopefully this lesson will show me some secret tricks to be able to play that song biggrin.gif
