As soon as anyone heard my accent they would be talking to me for ages. shops, restaurants, petrol stations.... almost everywhere. It was quite awesome I would love to go back sometime. I'll always remember an old Canadian couple I met in a shop when I was a small boy. They were struck by how polite I was so they gave me a tiny little badge with the Canadian flag on it which I wore on my shirt. Great people.
