Apparently the record button is also the "suck" button lol. It's funny how once you know you're on camera you begin to over-think things. Oh well. Just a bit more experience in front of the camera I think I should be better. It was definitely a good experience.
This was recorded using the camera mic. I placed the camera right in front of the cab and the stereo speakers directly in front of the mic. This helped eliminate the rattling of the strings that is usually picked up at such a low volume.
Enjoy :D
Hey mate!
This take sounds very nice I think you are on the good way and the only things that i can notice are some little timing slips, such as the one at around 00:04.
Otherwise, nicely done!
Cosmin
Hi mate! Don't worry about the red light issue, it will slowly disappear with practice. Even you could start your guitar sessions turning on your camera. Regarding your playing, as Cosmin said, the only thing to adjust is timing. There are may parts that has small rhythm issues that should sound tighter, but I'm sure that most of them appear because your mind is thinking on the camera.
Keep on practicing this one focusing on details (timing), the connection between parts (for ex 00:43) and also try to play the riffs stronger with your right hand, some of them should sound more powerful (for ex starting at 00:17).
Cheers!
Ha ha Good point - REC button is often like -50% of skills gone away
Just wanted to congratulate You on a good take You focused to get good tuning precision and execution of all notes. Like Cosmin said - justa few timming slips but that's all Well done
