Hi Astrid - welcome to the site, glad you are finding my lessons helpful
Aw! Nice to see: no matter how trivial 'cause I'm sure that many of my questions might seem off the wall to you guys... So here goes my first: Uhm, when I see an 'L' in the tabs, it's supposed to be tied (?), what does that mean? How is that supposed to sound? This is the most common question at GMC - we should make the answer part of the signon terms somehow A tied note is a way of extending the length of a note. All you do is add the total length of the 2 notes together and play it as one single note starting from the position of the first note. QUOTE Oh, must add something to my statement: It hurts like hell when I play, and when I dont (after a while) I cant feel them...It's like the tips are asleep... So, I'm probably not "there" yet... What can I expect? Are the sensation in the tips of the left hand supposed to "die" completely? Oh hey - that was my second question. This is fairly normal After a few months of playing your finger tips will toughen up and the pain will go away, and the feeling will return! If you can get over this it's like a test of your determination to play the guitar -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
