I guess he is in denial as to why he is having problems but it seems pretty clear to me being a former smoker myself for over 35 years and contracting Lung Cancer. There is no question in my mind as to where it came from. I don't know if he still smokes or not but from what I have heard about him, he wasn't just a smoker, but a heavy smoker and a chain smoker where you use the last bit of one cigarette to light the next one and so on. Since I was diagnosed, I have lost two good friends to Lung Cancer. The last was a fellow band mate. I just played at his Celebration of Life on Sunday at a local bar. If you smoke. Do yourself, your family and your friends a favor and do whatever you can to quit because it's just not worth it no matter how much you enjoy it. Smoking kills.
