Okey-dokey biggrin.gif, I've given it another try, and I think the first riff is G G | D D | B B instead of G G | D D | C C

ok, one more chance... the main riff has 4 chords, and the first version that you wrote has 3 of them.... (G G | D D | C C)

It's.... G G | D D | ? C ... try to find the "?"

Okay, well it's gotta be G G | D D | B C.
Also how did I do on the melody?

Tobias

no, it's G G | D D | E C. Try it over the song and let me know how it feels.

Hey Gabriel! Sorry for the late response, been kind of tired lately, but I've just tried to figure out the notes for Macy's Days Parade, this is what I've got. Also I have to say, I found this song hard to figure out, it seems so weird, definitely not used to listen to this kind of music laugh.gif , a lot of times I couldn't even figure out where the heck I was in the song laugh.gif

Also the whole song seems to be in C, then at some point I think it changes to B.

Other than that I hope I wrote the progression okay enough for this song, since it seems weird, I had a hard time to write an progression, not a single clue what is what laugh.gif & I also heard some notes being played behind some chords, at one point, but I just couldn't get any clue at all at what it might have been.

Ok, let's go slowly... what tuning are you using? With standard tuning, the first chord is B and then goes to G#m.

Hey Gabriel! smile.gif, I think I might have been using Eb, but not quite sure, I gave it a listen and tried out B and G# that definitely works, and now C and G doesn't, but I got this figured out after making sure I had it in E standard and with the B & G#

B B B B
G# G# G# G#
B B F# F#
B B B B

I hope that's better smile.gif (for the main riff)

Try E after G# and before F#. wink.gif (and check the Picnic Panic lesson where I play a part of this song, in a different key but the same progression)
