I can also notice the Pearl Jam influences That's very nice, man! Keep up the good work with these vids. I think that it would be even nicer if you would experiment a bit with lighting. I think I remember sending some links in respect to this idea - am I right? Hi buddyXD yeah, i bought 2 cheap lamps on ebay...either the lamps are not Powerfull enough,or the camera settings is to poor..:/ i must experiment some more.... Im gonna check Those links again;) -------------------- ---------------------------------------------

Hi buddyXD yeah, i bought 2 cheap lamps on ebay...either the lamps are not Powerfull enough,or the camera settings is to poor..:/ i must experiment some more.... Im gonna check Those links again;) Very cool composition and singing! I agree with Cosmin and think that video would benefit from more lights. Usually, this kind of work or flood lights do the trick as they are really powerful: link These are often 500 watts lights which is great as camera needs as much as you can provide. The trick with these is not to aim them directly at you as the light is a bit harsh (it is not made for video recording). Rather try aiming them at white walls or room ceiling just to let the light disperse naturally and light up the whole room. Another detail I'd like to mention is that I think your videos deserve better audio too. Have you tried bringing the zoom recorder closer to the guitar? It sounds like the mic is a bit too far so it doesn't catch guitar really well and there is a lot of room reverb. Experiment with positioning of the recorder, it can also be visible in a video frame as if it brings better sound, it will be a benefit overall. Try to find a nice position which is close to your guitar and head so it catches both nicely (guitar and singing). -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Hey mate Since Bogdan brought it up, I wanted to recommend a nice acoustic guitar mic, which I have tested and ordered myself:
http://www.thomann.de/ro/oktava_mk_01201_black_cardioid.htm You can also order a matched pair, for more experimenting options, but you can achieve great results with this one, by simply orienting it towards the 12th fret (try various angles for various results) A bit more on it, here: http://www.oktava-online.com/mk012.htm |
