For anyone here who has gamed online on GMC what are your favorite games??

Mine were starcraft, Warcraft III, Diablo 2, CS:source, Guild wars....dont really play anything anymore...just guitar....but i may when halo3 and starcraft 2 come out

Starcraft and counter strike 1.6 I'd love to try Starcraft 2, but I dont want to waste time. I wasted 2 years on WoW >_< curse that game.
I still play a bit CS with a couple of my friends once in a while.

Zelda! I'm a zelda junkie, and I'm damn proud of it, they are the best games ever, except killer 7 is about as good And I can't wait for mass effect either, but I have to get a 360 untill then, and that will be hard considering tha fact that I'll be getting myself a new guitar and amp soon, but meh, I havt to get t! But yeah, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess or Killer 7 would be my favourite games. I'm not gaming as much now when I have the guitar now, wich sucks, since gaming is my other big passion in life, except guitar and music in general. (Yeah, I'm a geek and proud of it )

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I also wasted 2 years on WoW-_- Actually I still remember the AQ stuff as fun, but damn, do I regret farming honor to rank 13 while I still was going to school every day? You bet, that was the most stupid thing I've ever done...

Oh jesus yeah, I remember naxx and all that, it was a bit fun, but a complete waste of time. Actually, wow is a prison if you're in a pve guild when I stopped I could do anything I wanted without thinking about farming stuff for raids, showing up for raids and farming honor etc.
Man I'm happy I quit that piece of crap
And also, when I stopped wow I started to get good at guitar playing!

Haha, yeah, hardcore pve was really like a prison, I'm glad I stopped playing before naxx The first days after not playing I could just sit in my char and do nothing else, but appreciate the fact that you didn't have to farm pots or anything, it's really weird

I only play counter strike: 1.6 and guitar now, before that i played ghost recon: advanced warfighter, and before that age of empires: age of kings, and tried out other games inbetween that i didnt like.

I've "wasted" about 2 years each on Quake2, Quake3, Battlefield and now I've done WoW from the start. Got real sick of it around christmas and I closed my account 2 months ago and joined GMC instead. Grinded through MC and BWL but I was a pvp-er in a pve-guild. They were all fun for a year or so. It is really a reliefe to have time to do other stuff and play guitar every day if I like to.

Me and my friends about 3-4 times a week chill at my friends house and play Soldier Front, its a free online first person shooter in the vein of Counter-Strike. Its fun just hangin out and yelling at each other and cursin'....ah....yep, good ol times.

Used to play CS 1.6 Day of defeat, Lineage II and wow. Wow and LineageII were the 2 worst waste of my life that I can think of. Got a g/f and a guitar to keep me far too busy to think about computer games any more.

I dont think its a waste of time if youre enoying it. I also firmly belive that making games is an Art, if you look at alot of games like Final Fantasy, Unreal, Quake, Painkiller, Civilazation, Myst, Half-Life, Metal Gear Solid, they have some of the best story lines and character creations ever, ESPECAILLY Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid, they story lines composed are tremedous works of art, the tell an amazing story with a fresh diversity of many characters.

You can say its a waste of time, BUT, There are people who think guitar and practicing guitar is a waste of time.

Agreed. I've been playing games since before I ever picked up a guitar - I've played most of the major MMO's ever released and plenty of single player games.... nowadays I hardly play games at all, sometimes if I'm bored (I'm going through fallout 2 lately because it's another example of an excellent tale in a game) but I used to be a big junkie. In fact I learned to model and skin and was working on mods and such for a couple games, and before I decided I had to play guitar, I was planning on someday getting into the game making industry, but I dropped that. Games are now just a minor hobby of mine. I used to be a huge nerd but you wouldn't know it now!

Haha, yeah I'm serious But hey, I don't mind of others think it's a waste of time, but it's my favourite hobby (after the guitar nowadays:P) and as the uncreator said, it can even be a work of art if it's not just a random game made by EA. Check out killer 7, that's art in it's purest form

i agree on a single fact that WoW (world of warcraft ) is THE biggest waste of time ever, i tink the game is so over rated that its not even funny...
I dont play as much as i use to, but i usually do play CS 1.6 with my friends 1-2 a month(or less) and im a huge Call of Duty fan and i cant wait for the third one to come out for PC, damn those consolse

And if i do play games, i only play them in Multiplayer mode cos thats just way more fun!!!

Did any you guys hear about the guy who spent like 200 straight hours on Everquest? frikkin crazy, he only got to like poop and pee and eat occasionally, but he never left his house..


One more bad story...


When everquest first came out, one guy spent alot of his time getting really far in the game, and another player killed him in a fair fight, and took his stuff (you do that in MMORPG's) and the guy who lost got so pissed he found out where the other guy lived, showed up to his house and beat the hell out of him..

I used to play Runescape for 1 year, i used to sit almost all day playing, i cant believe i wasted so much time, if i would have practiced guitar instetad.....

well im glad its over, i dedicate alot of time to my guitar now, though i still play videogames with my friends and my band after practice.

Me too. If I had practiced guitar all those hours I was playing MMO's, I would be a guitar god by now.
