01: How It Began

Everything begins in the depths of the mind
A dream or idea, subconscious design?
All things created by man or by gods
Ignite with the brain and is fueled by desire

That's how he perceived it, The image inside
A grand energy, recreate our existence
Why waste time waiting for the dawn
We'll take it ourselves, existence redefined

It all begins with honesty
But a path of light can grow dark with time
Even the sun must come to pass
And man must come to know limitations
It all can end in tragedy
A path brightly lit came to be dimmed with time
The sun shines fainter with every day
Expand and survive, Or conquer and thrive

Jupiter, Saturn, have been spun apart
Luna and Pluto, mined to the cores
We exhaust the breath of the universe
No time to inhale only enough breath to speak

We cannot determine how anything began
We can only hope to shape how it ends
The architects words lead a nation to follow
His honest image is becoming distorted

It all begins with honesty
But a path of light can grow dark with time

And man must come to know limitations

02: How It Happened

All around us, the world turns to gray
Hells is not fire, but an absence of warmth

Eyes seemed drained, maybe missing a soul?
Hearts seem too tired, to give life a chance

A child's mind, can understand so much
Your first mother is dying, and all of us with her

He struggled with time, support and resource
To gather the nations to support his cause
Honest it was, but time has passed
Desperation takes hold, She just won't last

Bang!

The darkness annihilated
The sky set ablaze in the blink of an eye
No new star in the sky
An elder reborn

Eight minutes have passed
When my skin starts to shake
This feeling familiar
How I remember this warmth

With time, you will come to know how we died

03: How We Died

But with time our ideas can come to dissolve
Lose the form they once had, the honesty
He sought to bring a familiar light
To a world without warmth, A world without her

It all began with honesty
Even the sun has come to pass
And man knew not his limitations
And so his ego took control
A path brightly lit extinguished of light
The dreams of a son reduced to ash
The mother does not blame her child
When with time her warmth, turned into fire

Now you, have to come know
Now you, know it ends
With time, you came to know
How we died...

Normally I wait until a song is 100% finished 'till I post lyrics. But its been awhile since I posted here, and I think these are the best ones I have written in a good time. This song is about many things; the story is about a man who seeks to re-ignite the sun to save life on Earth. But inside of that story it is also about the importance of time, the desire to see ones dreams come to fruition, the urgency to expand, and the consequences of rushed actions and decisions.
