In this quick licks, we take a basic pentatonic scale in they key of A and use a "Strike once, Hammer twice" approach. The lick plays each position twice. It make things sounds like you are playing a lot more notes than are actually being played to some ears. Keep a solid mute to avoid string noise. Play at a comfortable speed.

Now that is a quick turnaround!!!! You are getting these quick licks absorbed faster each time I put one up! Super congrats there. This is a very fun lick that will wear ones hadn out if you run it too many times but you seemed to have no trouble at all. It's based in A Blues so it will work on any backing track on youtube labled "A BLUES" and sound pretty cool. We are leveraging every single open string to get three notes per string even though we are only fretting 2. Also, we repeat each set of three notes to make it sound more busy than it actually is. Having previously worked on QL #104 (open string to hammer-on) made this one fairly easy for me. It took about a 1/2 hour to get it close to Todd's tempo and I messed around with turning it into a riff with two chords (G to A).
It's really good to play these hammer-on licks in reverse. Make it a pull-off lick instead, instantly doubling your vocabulary.

NICE!!! This lick is a great way to double your available licks as you mention. It's done essentially "Backwards" from what one mine normally do. I like how you play it both backwards and forwards to show how both sound and then turn it in to a cook lick!! I think that's the best part of your doing these is showing how they fit it to real music instead of just being a clinical drill. Very well done. You just.
