Hi Gab,
I hope you are doing fine.

Here is the videos I recorded tonight.
I started to play the chord progression over Acoustic Strumming #1.
I did record the chord progression at 100 bpm. I feel like it needs a bit more work.

For this lesson https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/O-Lord...Angelicus-Hymn/
I have been practicing until 00:34. Which is in video 1 and 2.
I did record two takes at 60 bpm.
I am struggling a bit with the timing for this one.

Yes I have never played hybrid picking before so it is fun to learn that smile.gif
The hardest thing I have found so far about hybrid picking is to make the notes sound equal in volume. The note I am playing with the pick is always louder than the note I am playing with my fingers.

Thanks for the tips, I will work on that.
I think it is slightly harder to follow the rhythm when there is no drums playing. Like the lesson I am practicing now, with just a guitar in the backing track.

Hey Gab,

I hope you are doing fine.
I have recorded some new videos now, there was some technical difficulty with my speaker which I use to play the backing track so the volume is lower than normal.
I will fix it so it is better sound next time, hope you still can hear the backing track.

Two videos for the chords for acoustic strumming #1
I feel 100 bpm is comfortable now, 120 bpm needs some more time

I have listened quite a lot to the first parts backing track in order to get the timing right.
To me it sounds like I need more practice but it is getting better.
It is two takes and the second take feel slightly better.

Thanks for your feedback Gab smile.gif
I will keep working on the chord changes, I do feel more comfortable now. I have actually stopped looking at the fretboard when changing to F.

Perhaps it is a good idea to change O Lord Most Holy to another lesson which has an easier backing track. Cause as you said and as I think, it is very hard backing track.
Then we could come back to this lesson in a few months.
What do you think?

Hi Alex! Yes, it's a good idea to go for another lesson. Maybe one that includes a backing with drums. Do you have any in mind?

I have looked through a lot of acoustic lessons now. It was took some time to find any with a backing track that has drums.
I found these two, I can't decide right now which one I like more right now smile.gif

Do you have any other suggestion?

That Ed Sheeran lesson looks good! I also think that working on a solo lesson that has drums could be good to then get into some more Javier Aviles melodic lessons.

and this one could be cool to continue exploring the 6/8 meter:

The lessons you suggested were great!
I like them both a lot so it is hard to choose which one I should practice smile.gif

I have two new takes for the chord practice of Acoustic Strumming #1 at 120 BPM.
I think the first one is more smooth but has less dynamics.
So the second one is less smoth but better dynamics.

I have some questions regarding Goo Goo Dolls lesson.
How do you think I should practice it?
Should I start by learning it section by section at slower speeds and then once I learn it all then get it up to speed?

Right now I am practicing the part in video 1 at 50 bpm, I will see if I can play along the backing track in the next days otherwise I will record playing that part without backing track

Thanks I will continue playing along the backing track.

Here is the Goo Goo Dolls video part 1 at 60 BPM.
I think it is a fun lesson to play
