Need Information For Girlfriend To Join

She needs to play acoustic guitar by next year for school. Basic chords etc ... no need for scales, ... patterns now just the chords so she can play some songs. What lessons etc are good for her to learn? If it were for electric I could give her a million reasons but I never did the real acoustic lessons.
