Silver Rain
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The sky is blue with destiny still breathing
The air is pure with the rising sun
The horizon seems to cradle the clouds
And not a single soul was in pain
I stand alone wondering why I am even here
I don't belong with these people, Or even this world
Shadows and afterimages, A bad dream that I
Simply cannot awake from
My gaze is shifted to the sky
The sky is grey with bated breath
The air is exhaled to create a vaccuum
The horizon is blocked by an incoming rain
Silver drops hit my skin like falling mercury
My gaze is shifted down
Every soul has stopped in time
Everyone has halted to an unseen facade
Bodies fall all at once, A thunderous roar
Yet I remain standing
The atmosphere is reduced to a brittle shell
And eyes perceive a world of grey
Raindrops that have fallen from heaven
Have come with the wrath of hell
My gaze is shifted to the sky
This silver rain falls like knives
Stripping the bones of flesh
This silver rain falls like an acid
Dissolving the monuments of man
This silver rain falls like a fire
Leaving nothing but a charred footpring
This silver rain falls...
This silver rain falls on all but me

To keep this one interesting, Im not gonna even hint to as what its about. But I will say that it takes place in the future, the past, and an alternate existence all at once
Hmm.. grumble grumble... I am afraid I don't understand the lyrics to well:/ It seems "You" are not affected by the things that affect rest of the people. So most probably You have different values or don't care for certain things that other do? Anyway that is my impression. I like it, but would like it even more, if my brain could pluck up the power to fully understand it;)
PS: hmm okay now I shall use my right, to ask You for a comment on my http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/guitar_forum/index.php?showtopic=22429&st=0&p=304159&#entry304159
Well since all of you guessed, I want to tell you all what its about now. In a book called 'Century Rain', A woman finds a wormhole that leads to a second earth that has followed a different timeline and existence. And in this alternate existence she learns that the weapon that rendered the original earth inhospitable (Silver Rain), Might be used hear.
There is a part where she dreams she is there as this weapon is being used, but she is unaffected and forced to watch all around her die.
Thats it condensed to 1 million times the actual size and scope of it, And yes ESJ, Like in every song I write, I slip in something personal about me in there. You picked the right verses for that as well
Thanks for all the feedback
Wow, awesome lyrics man, I could really hear some melodies just by reading it. Great job, and they really have a sad vibe to them!
Thanks Ivan, Means alot

A quite, silent start but can already tell you're gonna talk about an earthly pain by using the sky as a reference
I stand alone wondering why I am even here
I don't belong with these people, Or even this world
Shadows and afterimages, A bad dream that I
Simply cannot awake from
My gaze is shifted to the sky
Guessed it...and the last verse is exactly what I thought...This part means alot to me, I feel the same way, it has alot of feeling into it
The sky is grey with bated breath
The air is exhaled to create a vaccuum
The horizon is blocked by an incoming rain
Silver drops hit my skin like falling mercury
My gaze is shifted down
Now I'm guessing that this i how you see the world through your eyes, atleast that's my interpretation, it's like saying "The world is a wonderful place when you're in love, and hell itself when you have a broken heart"
Every soul has stopped in time
Everyone has halted to an unseen facade
Bodies fall all at once, A thunderous roar
Yet I remain standing
When I read this part, the first though that came to my mind is "the pain never ends..." because the world is awful from that point of view, and everyone dies, meaning they don't see it, they don't feel the pain of see it...you're still alive, you have to experience it
The atmosphere is reduced to a brittle shell
And eyes perceive a world of grey
Raindrops that have fallen from heaven
Have come with the wrath of hell
My gaze is shifted to the sky
The continued sadness is always joined by rage of experiencing pain that others don't have
This silver rain falls like knives
Stripping the bones of flesh
This silver rain falls like an acid
Dissolving the monuments of man
This silver rain falls like a fire
Leaving nothing but a charred footpring
This silver rain falls...
This silver rain falls on all but me
Hmm...I have to be honest, I was making a one way trip to say that, pain is only for you and nobody has pain but you, the silver rain is a torture you see that destroys everything, lets everything rest in piece and makes you stay alive to see that destruction. My idea went a bit overboard since I got lost in my judgement but, that's how I like it, this piece really made me associate my own life to it, making it a great piece.
My deepest congratulations
P.S: You have a hint but I didn't even read it, I prefer to read things and let my mind do the rest. The meaning to me might be different than it is to you, but that's the purpose of poetry for me
