Dough is the solo bass artist I discovered recently. Check out his web site there you can listen to the samples of songs from his album : http://www.dougjohns.com/listen/
I recommend this song : Pimpasaurus Rex among others. I really like his groove and happy funk sound he's got all over his albums. Its really different from what other solo bass artists are doing right now - Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller, Stu Hamm etc...
