Dunlop Max Grip Jazz Iii Pick

Jun 27 2013, 07:41 AM	GMC:er Posts: 760 Joined: 21-January 13	I've been experimenting with guitar picks, and I ordered a bunch of different guitar picks, and there's one in particular that I'd like to discuss. Dunlop is famous for their tortex picks, but I got a Max Grip Jazz III pick. It costed me $1 well, I only get like two picks after two months, even though I don't break many picks, so this time since I had a bonus from where I work (picks really interest me ) Its a really tiny pick, but its really dense. Its a carbon fibre pick. You know it means business when you hold it Its got numerous little grip marks, the grip is remarkable on that tiny thing. Its kind of a dark greenish brown color with a pretty sharp point. Says "Dunlop USA" on one side and "Max Grip Jazz III" on the other. Even though its hard to get used to at first, specially if you're like me who always goes for the bigger picks, but its proving good. I think it was worth the money The other picks I bought include a Musician's Gear Premium Heavy pick and a Clayton David Bollt pick. both of those costed me $0.5 Here are some pictures: If you've used any of these, do comment You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. I started with the junkie starter picks that everyone seems to just give away to test gear. From there I came across Gator Grips, loved them never had a single issue with them sliding or anything. But tho it's good doesn't mean I couldn't find better. So I switched to Jazz IIIs, I used them for a few years until Todd talked highly of sharp tipped picks. So I bought some Dunlop Sharps prefer the 1.5s but they only had 1.0mm last time I went. I've tried V-Picks as well, good quality but mine felt slick (Tho I tried someone elses and it didn't feel that way.) But now I'm back to sharps. I tried every single pick in the pick box at my local store. It took quite a while but it was worth it. I've kept on trying new picks as I come across them and recently started getting in to picks my locals stores don't carry. It's a worthwhile endeavor to try as many as possible! With those JP's - I did I had the impression I can't really pick it up fast enough... I pushed the Rec button in the DAW and got uber frustrated because I couldn't pick up the pick in time to start playing on the first beat. It used to bother me, but now I'm better at gripping the pick with the right tension (depending on what technique I'm using) and holding it in such a way that the size doesn't bother me.
