Hi Frank. At the moment, I would say this type of solo is too advanced to tackle. The bluesy part in the middle and the end probably isn't too much for you but the arpeggio runs are definitely above your ability for now. If you listen back to the video you'll notice that during the arpeggios you get pushed back in time.. the backing then becomes ahead of you.

However, it's not totally out of your range.. you just need to build up to this type of lesson. I would find some beginner/intermediate legato style lessons and gradually work on your left hand to build up the speed and dexterity. If you need some help finding some good lessons just ask and I'll be happy to help

Hey mate!

Ben is right, you should try and build up the necessary chops to tackle this kind of solo.

I would suggest a lot of metronome practice and, if you have the slowed down backing tracks for the solo itself, try and record yourself at each available tempo.

Pay attention to the intonation, phrasing and timing. Once you get each take PERFECTLY, move on to the higher tempo backing track, until you nail it at full speed. you'll realize how you'll become more and more 'in depth' with playing and understanding the piece! Hope this helps

I think your technique is good and it's developing in a proper manner,

I see the same timing issue in this solo as in the GNR one so I think that's the most important musical parameter you should focus on for now.

Where does every bar begin,

A good exercise can be to just sing the solo first with na na na na syllables, for this you don't need the guitar. The point with this is to be conscious of where does every cell of the solo fit in. After you do this just let your hand move to each position as the drums guide you. The most important thing here is the FIRST NOTE of every phrase landing on the right beat.

Thank you fore the comments Guys. This song was recorded fore kicks. I had to many beers to judge the recording .I know I can get this one right .I will do another recording that should be close to perfect or even.
