This may sound pretty stupid but I have a question about the following:

for example we have :

E|----7-7-7-7---------|
B|---------------------|
G|----9-9-9-9--------|
D|---------------------|
A|---------------------|
E|---------------------|

If we play a B (7) on the E string and a E (9) on the G string what happens to the B string?
I heard there's some kind of picking style which allows you to play with the pick on the one string and finger on other string.
Or so you just play it open? But that doesn't sound good over here.

Hope someone can help. smile.gif

There are two ways that i know to play this.....

The first is thatyou play both g and e strings and mute the so it become a dead note...

Or you play the on the g string with the pick and the e with on of pick hands fingers.......

Hope it clear things up for you

Or lose the pick and play finger style ... but I would go for hybrid picking as superize suggested.

Yeah hybrib picking should be the best here but ifyou see theese thing on the E A D and G string i would play if with the pick and mute the string in the middle.

So I'll have to mute the one string?
Mute it with my lefthand, sounds quite an adventure. tongue.gif

Muting it will be easy.... When i do it i use my index finger on playing the G stringand then i slighly lay the finger down on the B string so it dosent ring.....

Ok thanks for the advice. I'll try it out tomorrow.

EDIT: So hybrid picking is with the pick and a finger of the right hand?
Is there anywhere a lesson about this?
