Should i AP or just downstroke them?

Learn to do both, but AP is what I do.

do both...practice downstokes, AND practice upstrokes smile.gif both definetly beneficial.

Must know both, but try to use downstrokes more efficently, for example, mute the upstrokes more often if you can.

I say learn both, but don't focus too much on downstrokes only, unless you are wanting to play metal, because you can defintely get a heavier sound with all downstrokes. Alternate picking is of course a must in metal too. So basically depends on what style of music that you want to focus on.

PS- I'm assuming by your sig that you are into metal?
