I don't have a spot for a trem bar for any of my guitars. mellow.gif

I wish I did though!

Les Paul: I keep it in its hardshell case while travelling. It's on a locking floor stand at home. I am going to get strap locks, but I can't find any at the moment. It's really annoying when you let your best friend's little brother play your guitar and it just slips out and hits the floor (It wasn't the new LP, but a cheap old strat).

Yamaha Pacifica: I keep it in a high-end gig bag because I only have one hard-shell case. It's a little much to bring two guitars in hardshell cases in a small car--things don't work so well.

Custom Strat (Built From Scratch): This guitar is nice, but it's only partly mine so whenever I do get to have it for a while I keep it in its hardshell. No trem bar while it's in its hardshell, and it always has strap locks.

Gig bag.

No strap neither trmolo bar with my classical guitar. laugh.gif

wouldn't it be awesome if you did? Imagine having a floyd on that bad boy wink.gif

when traveling, my guitar is in a high end gig bag, but is always close by. I dont dare put it in the back with the amp and the pedal case and toolbox just like I wouldn't ask my girlfriend to sit in that trunk. No, my guitar rides shotgun with me (sometimes even when there are other people in my car. seniority and all)

I have both. I use the hardshell case because its easy to get guitar in and out. My fender came with a pretty good gig bag and I use that when I bring my guitar to school.

All 3 guitars have hard shell cases. They deserve the best. My Carvin has dunlop strap locks, strap comes off when done, never use a strap when playing acoustic (and wouldn't really care if it smashed off the floor) blink.gif Strap also comes off the Ibanez when done, both trem bars come off also

Cheap gigbag for me. I have an inexpencive <500$ guitar and I can do with it whatever i want. + I find case a little robust for my needs - carrying around in a bus a lot.

Hardshell for me all the way. I have 3 guitars - squire strat (Japan), Ibanez 470DX, and a new! Gibson SG Classic. When I bought my SG a few days ago I made them upgrade me a hardshell case b/c I won't use a gig bag. I'm paranoid like that. = P

Hmm semi cheap hard case for me ! I carry my bass in it.I used cheap gig bag a long time ago and now I can't image me with it..I travel a lot in a bus.My hard case has a million bumps and scratches on it and keeps my guitar in good shape..Don't need to worry about forces on the neck of guitar and everything.Downside to it is its size and weight..Because of bass being in it its just huge!! But thats a small price to pay to be sure your guitar will be transported safely and lets you think about other important stuff.. cool.gif

Only the best hard cases! If one of my axes got damaged going to gigs or practices I'd cry! For days on end!
And always take the strap and tremolo off when I'm done, they could damage one of my babies when they're rattling around. I have those Schaller strap locks on all my axes aswel, just in case!

I tell ya though, imagine getting on a packed out bus, in a massive city, during the rush hour with a huge hard case! I have to do that every week, its awful!
