Wonders will never cease, I actually composed and recorded my solo.
I had to add an additional rhythm track with strummed chords to help make sense of the changes. It's rather heavily based around the C#m Pentatonic shape with additional notes thrown in, and the phrasing is a little dull -------------------- My SoundCloud

One of your video chats on Joe Pass arpeggios and also this mentoring thread, put an idea in my mind for a theory based project. Seeing as I have Neck Diagrams, I thought I'd put it into good use and create a Triads document. I think I need your input as I want it too be a useful tool for me and everyone here at GMC I'm going to choose a key (probably C major) Show the triads (and inversions) on string sets 123, 234, 345, 456 Then add superimposed triads to them to make extended chords I guess the next step would adding non diatonic triads to get other extended chords b5 etc To make it more useful, rather than just a reference document to included useful exercises to help, get it under the fingers, on the fretboard and from the mind to the ear. Would you be interested in helping me with this, we could use it as the basis of my mentoring, I'm guessing I'll learn a lot compiling it. -------------------- My SoundCloud

Do the same for 543, 432, 321 string sets Give chord progression exercises to practice linking inversions across string sets and to make something musical Superimposing Triads Explanation and showing the examples Show examples on fretboard of triads linked together on same string set Show examples on fretboard of triads linked together on adjacent string sets Exercises for using these over chord progressions If you can give any help with effective exercises to drill and for good progressions to practice the triads and arpeggios over, I'd appreciate it. If you think I've missed anything, or the order I've put things in isn't the most logical for learning also let me know, I'd appreciate the feedback This might take me a while, especially as I'll be using it as a learning tool and practice agenda whilst compiling it!
