Playing when standing up is hard when you havent done it before, just practice it a bit then its no problem after a while

I haven't heard of the left leg thing...someone care to explain?? I've been practicing for a year and a half sitting down with the guitar on my right leg (I'm right handed BTW). Putting the guitar on your left leg should give you a "better" playing poision - flatter to your body. Also, when you stand up, this is pretty much where your guitar naturally falls on your body so practicing on your left leg should make it easier to play standing up. Doesn't make a lot of difference to me either way but I've been playing a long time, and I did start on acoustic, using a footstool and my left leg. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile
