Number 2 by far...but you have to change the coloring of the band name. It is too hard to see being black.

I like number 2 best. I think the black band name looks great though, it melts into the background in a nice way that kinda fits the concept of the rest. I not that fond of the smoke effekt on the other text though smile.gif

From a design perspect, number 1 is far stronger and visually enticing. Its only weakness is the font choice for the track listing. That's a very "pretty" (and generic) looking script font which neither works with nor contrasts the design of the rest. You can have, in this type of work, three of everything: three colors, three fonts, three sizes.

You can find another "smooth" font for track listing, but I wouldn't choose a wedding-invitational font like that one. Something more industrial or type-writerish if it must be smooth. Else I'd find something with some raw edges and a little hair to it.

Agreed. Also, did you guys take the picture of the house yourself/do you have copyright with it?

The first one could potentially look better with an engraving effect or font I think.

I like the picture in the second one, but the text needs re-working and ditch the papyrus font.

Difficult! Depends on the music I'd say. The first one, a folder containing secret information, "EP" stamped. Clean, neat anda bit out of my reach containing information not for my eyes.
Good for punk!

The shed, which I voted for, would be imo more like trailer park rock or dark, mystic, doomy rock. Doesn't look like a happy place.

Just my opinions smile.gif

Seems to me that in order to be produced, both would need some work.
As others mentioned it depends on the music.
When both covers were lying in the cd store, right next to each other, I would pick up the one with the shed first.

Depends which music genre you're aiming for. The first has the cross of 90's hardcore (with the logo) and the hard rock track listing and fonts, while the second one looks like an Ambient Black Metal release.
