I just took my uncles old 25 year old nylon string guitar 9 years ago because I was bored and didn't have anything to do that day, and didn't stop playing ever since.

I've got a really interesting guitar journey.
I was hearing this song "Snow Hey Oh" by RHCP all the time on the radio, but had no idea how to song was called. One day, a friend of mine started singing "Paradise City" by GNR near me, and as I music newb, I thought it was "Snow Hey Oh". So I asked how was the song called. He replied "Paradise City". So this is what I watched when I came home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqTuN-35580 Quite interestingly, it wasn't Slash that made me love that video. It was their rhythm guitarist Gilby Clarke who I enjoyed the most. Then I kept on watching more GNR videos from Youtube like "Sweet Child of Mine" and such. All the people in the comments were talking about some Slash and how great he was. I didn't know who that was. So I googled him and found out he used to be the lead guitarist for GNR. As a music newb, I thought that when you got some sheet music and 10 different guitarists, they all will play it the same way. My dad used to be a guitarist, so I asked him if that's the case. He said "no". That really interested me. I couldn't understand how can one note be played in 10 differents ways. So I picked up the guitar. The end. -------------------- I got a completely new $600 bass for $300. What a deal!
