Need Recommendations For An Acou-eletric Guitar

Hi, my name is Jon and I'm thinking of picking up an acoustic-electric down the line, but would like some help on deciding which guitars are good.

Basically I'm looking for something that isn't too expensive, but has a decent sound. If finish doesn't play a big role on how the guitar sounds, then maybe that could help cut out cost? I'm still fairly new to guitar or haven't really been practicing so I guess there'd be no point in going all out and buying a really expensive one, but I'd also like to have one that I could just keep on playing when I get better. In terms of price range, if possible nothing over a thousand.

Would anyone happen to have any recommendations for brand or a specific guitar? If I was too general, sorry about that, but would clarify anything I might've missed.

I'm horrible at guitar and still trying to learn, but I was wondering if anyone could check out the tab and tell me how accurate it is. Just doesn't sound the same from for me, but it just could be that I'm playing it wrong.

The video shows two guys playing the guitar, but I want to be able to play and sing it with only one. Sorry if this is any trouble and any help is appreciated.

It's probably stupid, but I'm looking for a guitar with light blue as the main colour. I figure if your gonna play something you might as well like it too. Like the steve vai pavel uses, but that would drain the wallet for a few months. Any other suggestions are welcome.

New to the site and fairly new to guitar. Took guitar back in highschool, but unfortunately never payed that much attention so all I can remember are a few chords. So now I'm just trying to start from ground up and hopefully get better. I'm 22, turning 23 in July and from Toronto. Don't know what else there is to say.

If it's no trouble, I wanted to ask if I can save the videos for myself. Mostly so I can rewatch some of them on portable players. If yes, how can you save them or download them?
