Wireless Pedal Board Options

I just got a new bit of kit in and a video review will follow. It's a pedal board with stomp boxes that are magnetically attached to the board, so no velcro required Also, power is pass through the magnet to each pedal so no more stringing power cables on the board. Also, signal is passed through each pedal as it's mounted so no patch cables needed other. The board itself has it's own power supply and in/out jacks and an FX send/return. As a bonus, each pedal can be patched in just like a regular pedal if needed. Modular pedal board. Finally! I love my Ampero, but I still love playing with new gear! Here are some pix for now.


QUESTION: What do you think of this approach? Should more vendors make pedals that can slot in to this type of board?

Looks great, I've often wondered why guitar pickups can't be made like this. Maybe there's more to it with pickups.

I think some companies actually make pickups that are easy to switch out, just with a single cable to click in. I believe some EMG pickups can do this, but I can't remember.

Here is an explanation/setup Vid that I did for this board. It's a very handy idea. I wish more pedal vendors would make pedals that fit this form factor. Much like the 500 series of modular half rack effects that became a standard in studios and now you can get just about anything in that small mini rack format and just slot it in, I hope that this catches on and pedal folks make their pedals that you can just pop on to this board.

That would be awesome. If you could have all your fave pedals that could just pop in. As a bonus, these pedals can be run by themselves using regular guitar cable and a 9volt power supply. So you dont have to use the board. Still the board is amazing, it's got an FX SEND/RECIEVE and standard IN/OUT and you can plug the pedals individually so it's very flexible. IF JHA and IBANEZ started making pedals for this form factor it would be awesome. The pedal board itself is just such a great idea. Here is the unboxing and my first impression. More to follow.

What pedals would you like to see added to this form factor so they can fit on the board?

If you could get any pedals on earth made in this form factor, would it influence you to buy the pedal board itself? I gotta say, not having to use velcro and having all the power routed through the board is very handy. I'd use more pedals if they could all just slot in to a board like this.

Id love it if pickups and pedals all were more like this! EMG pickups are quite easy to install as it's just one plug swap to change them out. No soldering required. Still, you gotta screw in the screws and such so it's not just pop in and pop out. Here is a quick demo of the CHORUS and ECHO pedal on this board. I'm still messing around with it so more to come.
