Hey ChrisGLP! Welcome to your thread for Gab's Army.

This is some info that you've shared with me:

"I need help concerning the bending and vibrato.

My daily routine at the moment is

1. warm up (15 minutes)

2. practise a lesson (30 minutes)

3. guitar gym (up to 1 hour)

I try to practise each day 2 hours (ok, it is not possible each day)
"

Could you please share here some of your videos to let me check your overall playing?

Ok! The current plan looks good. Here I'll be always ready to monitor your practice so feel free to share your videos playing the lessons and also the exercises from the guitar gym.

It would be good if you can add 30 minutes each day (or take it from the guitar gym) to practice bending and vibrato.

Bending (15 minutes):

Vibrato (15 minutes):

Is that ok for you?

It's much better! There is still some room to make it sound tighter but now it's very close. You tend to go after the bit in some parts of this one.

Hi Gab... sorry for these "Silly" questions concerning the vibrato.... blink.gif

Is it necessary to hit the next pitch during a vibrato? Example: I make a vibrato at the 5th fret "c" on the g-String. Do I have to bend the string to the "d" during the vibrato? Or is it also ok not to do such "extreme" bendings during a vibrato like in Ben's lesson?

When do I make "small" bendings during a vibrato and when "extreme" bendings?

Hi Chris, no it's not necessary to always do extreme vibrato. Ben's lesson is great for training your vibrato technique and to gain strength and control. Vibrato is a very personal technique and it's one of those elements that makes each guitarist unique so it's ok to try different kinds of vibrato and also to listen to different guitarists that you like and see how they manage vibrato.

This technique is related to expression so combining different kinds, speeds, and widths will expand your playing and will give you more tools for phrasing. If you check the whole Ben's vibrato series you'll see that there is a classical one, another called "circular" and each of them can be soft, hard, slow or fast depending on your phrasing and the backing track.

Hi Chris, this one shows some improvements. Your timing is getting better and the second bend last bend sounds very good! The first phrases are the ones that are less tight while in the second half you sound more precise. Please keep on working in this way. smile.gif

Ah yes, that's called Phrygian Major Mode which is a mode from the Harmonic minor scale.

Hi Chris!! This sounds so beautiful!! This kind of music elevates our spirit, and that's what I've felt when listening to this song. Did you play this by once? How was it done?

Thanks a lot for this nice present. You'd made my day. smile.gif

I have made this backing with EZKeys Grand Piano... With this software you can choose different styles (ballads, blues, etc.). Each style consists of different modules (intro, verse, bridge, chorus, etc.). Now you have the possibility to combine these different modules as you want and create the chords and speed... and much more possibilities...

meanwhile I have made my second backing....

Do you think thats something for a collab with vocals and guitars?
