Grumble grumble..
A few searches later: http://line6.com/community/message/99957#99957 QUOTE Try downloading the latest version of Gearbox (3.70) from http://line6.com/software/. That should work but please keep in mind that we are not currently supporting Windows 7 just yet so we cannot guarantee that it will work. Maybe I can run an XP Virtual Machine and get it to work if it won't natively. This post has been edited by relaxenjoy: Mar 29 2010, 08:03 PM -------------------- |

I have used my Line 6 Toneport UX2 on Windows 7 so it does work and drivers support it. Don't know about Guitar Port (but its a pretty same device/driver) so it should work!

I use a Line6 Guitar Port with Windows 7 daily. It has no issues that I've seen.

It's a bit of a risk, but I think it will work, if not now, in the near future it will be. If the deal is good, take it, if not, wait for a while.

Haven't tried gearbox but the podfarm application serves the same purpose and interacts with the same hardware. Works fine in Win7 on my machine as well. I know that NoSkill's installation works, too, I've heard it (pre-axefx) several times.

Have you searched for drivers on line6.com website?? I'm sure there are 64bit drivers available for Toneports and Guitarport uses same drivers/software...
Having come home with my shiny new GuitarPort eager to record my first REC video... not compatible with 64 bit OS.
Gaaaah. I'm working around it using a VirtualMachine with XP on it. If anyone in this boat or similar doesn't know how to do this work around and wants help, drop me a PM! It's unfortunate the driver support from such an otherwise reputable company is so bad! -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net

Look for driver updates on the line-6 site as Bogdan says, because there's no reason to have compatability issues; it's been running here on Win7 64bit (i5 proc), and previously vista 64bit (quadcore proc).
The drivers on the CD that came with the device may be older, but the website will have what you need. -------------------- ::jafomatic

I'm glad you got it working now. Toneports/Guitarports etc are only gear from Line6 that I always recommend. It just sounds great for the price and its really easy to use and make cool home recording demos.
Depends on the speakers really, you can always plug in the headphones too..It sounds great here also and I don't have any "fansy" speakers attached Enjoy the device and let me know if you need any help with it... Bogdan is absolutely correct.
I'm a bit embaressed I missed the new software, doh! Oh well, now anyone who reads this will know! Cheers for everyone's replies, you guys and girls rock! Now I'm off to the recording forums and I will say that GuitarPort is AWESOME! When I called my local shop the guy said I wouldn't be happy with the tone through my PC speakers, however it sounds great - maybe his speakers aren't so good! -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
