Awesome guitarist, been following him for a long time since his days in Dream Evil, Nightrage, Mystic Prophecy and now Firewind!

Thoughts on him, technique whatever or even the band firewind?

I only knew Gus G from his signature model from ESP (which I don't like at all by the way) and I never heard him play something.
But damn! That guy is awesome! I'll check out more of his stuff soon.

He is a guitar hero from greece! His real name is Kostas Karamitroudis and he was also lead guitarist of Arch Enemy, but only for a couple of months. I'm a big fan of his Style.

Yeah, Gus has done alot of stuff for MANY bands, the guy is just phenomenal!

His stuff is amazing.. very basic yet very amazing. I love all of his stuff in firewind and his work with dream evil.. He reminds me alot of the lead guitarist from manowar....

He is awesome
I have seen pics of him in guitar world and actually was just getting ready to check him out.Is he just an insrumental band?That would be awesome because it always seems a singer screws up these type of guitarist ,just my opinion.

no he is not, i think he has more than the capability to be able to make a solo album, i do love him in Firewind though

checkout his band firewind.Once again same old story like the band not the singer.Even though he doesnt have the death metal voice i still just dont like his vocals.I dont think there's many bands out there doing what i would like to do right now mixing the type of vocals with type of guitar atleast.Killswitch engage would have to be the closest thing to what im talking about but still not exactly what i would want to do.

lol I had a vision of an alternative rock band with a rock/blues guitarist and a singer like Chris Daughtry of american idol but then I heard of Alter Bridge and all plans went to the gutter

He's become one of my favorite guitarists since I first heard Firewind, his guitar looks great in my opinion, and I hope I can get tickets to their show on 9/30.

I don't know if he is a metal God (who is really a metal God ??) but it's a very talented guitarrist. I like his style and He sounds great !!!

I want one of his Marshalls !!!!
