Good luck with going back home Fran! On the side note, I think the whole volcano thing is a nonsense, planes can fly in sand storms these days... Yes the chances of an accident rise a bit, but it is still much safer than traveling via taxi sleep.gif

I think if they had no reason to keep the planes ont he ground, the wouldn't. The travel companies are losing a lot of money as well on this, it's not just for fun tongue.gif I don't think the volcano thing is nonsense. A few years a go a Boeing's both engines stopped working because of volcano ashes and after a few kilometers of altitude los the moters got ignited again and they had a safe landing. That's lucky man! I believe that volcano ash particles are a lot smaller then sand, and thereby will cause more damage IMO.

Good luck then Fran!! Have some fun in Milan just to forget your misery laugh.gif

Good luck Fran! Planes are grounded all over Europe but airports are not getting open slowly. Look on the bright side - you can do some serious sightseeing! smile.gif

Stay safe Fran.

This volcano is affecting both sides of the pond. We have many planes stuck here trying to get across. Some of the smaller ones that fly at fairly low altitudes are still able to fly but most have to wait as airspace is limited.

Mother nature just reminding us who is boss smile.gif

I was thinking about you when I heard the news yesterday that flights in southern europe are cancelled, too. Well, it's for sure safer to stay on the ground right now, but it's a shame that many hotels raised their fees now!

I think Barca are going to Milan now by road. Bit of a bonus for Inter to play Barca after they spent hours in a coach - Barca will probably now only win 3-0 wink.gif .

Well, well, I'm FINALLY back home!!

I ended up taking a BUS because I wasn't sure my flight was going to take off (and it did not), so I guess I'm happy I changed plans, other wise I'd still be there, going bankrupt laugh.gif

So no football for me, but at least we visited Venice on Monday.

Sum 41 were a blast too tongue.gif At least they made it! Imagine if they haven't played after all these advenrures laugh.gif laugh.gif

Glad to be back. I miss my guitars so much!
