Posted by: Donut Jan 28 2009, 12:52 PM

So my queston is do GMC have own CD?
I mean that kind of CD where is everyones best songs or The GMC Metal Album where is colected metal songs or something like that where is few song. I think if GMC havenĀ“t got own CD you should do it. I think you should do self publish Cd at first what is sales only here or internet. If GMC have own CD Where can I buy it!

Sorry my English.

Do you mean a CD with songs from different members of the site on? If so no.

No... but it would be funny to do it.. smile.gif

I would be up for it!
A GMC compilation would be pretty cool!
Maybe offer it as a download?
We could organize contests and recording collabs to work towards some finished song for the album. What do you think?
It would also be great advertisement for the website...

sounds like a really cool idea I think the instructors should go through it

It would be very cool but I dont think it'll sell that good.
Some GMC members (me included) would buy it but no many others I think.

I think Donut was talking about lessons, mix of lessons,
maybe main video section but just audio and without video, not sure. smile.gif

What about backingtrack CD's for different styles? Like Metal soloing backingtracks, Fusion backingtracks etc..

Posted by: utak3r Jan 28 2009, 09:37 PM

Yeah, I think in the future it should happen - it'd be an excellent promo for the site: "listen, it's our students playing... wanna make your own song?" cool.gif

That seems to be an unsolvable problem for now laugh.gif

Well, we could have a bunch of collabs and have it in form of a contest.. Best takes make it to the cd?

Posted by: kaznie_NL Jan 30 2009, 03:11 PM

I thought... We could make new collabs and select the ten best takes out of every collab, or vote for the best previously made collabs?

Maybe the second choice isn't that good, there are always good takes and worse takes (like my first few.. Man you don't want them on your CD tongue.gif )
