Do You Learn Entire Lessons?

I think as well that it's important to learn to play long parts, solos, lessons, songs, etc .. the problem i often haveis that some parts need way more time to master if i want to play it perfectly like the original.

The initial goal to play things from the beginning to the end often turns in the complete opposite .. to do mistakes at the same part over and over again, stop playing or play it sloppy, restart from the beginning or at this difficult part. This is something to be careful with imo ..
