Finally the new Gearbox is available and can be updated by your POD.

Driver 3.3.5.5

These Drivers are installed by the GearBox 3.60 Installer and are recommended for use with all Line 6 USB-equipped devices, with the exception of the Variax Workbench USB Interface.
This driver is required for GearBox support of POD X3 devices.

USB Firmware 1.02

This USB Firmware adds support for Variax communication through USB and improves stability.
We recommend updating to Monkey 1.23 or later before installing this firmware version.

Flash Memory 1.12

If you are a POD X3 or POD X3 Live owner, please download and install the latest version of Line 6 Monkey software, and use it to update your POD to this latest version of firmware.

Variax Workbench 1.54

This version of Variax Workbench adds support for POD X3 Live.

Gearbox 3.60

This version of GearBox adds support for POD X3 and POD X3 Live.
This single installer includes a complete software package for GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and POD X3 devices. It includes the GearBox application (v3.60), device drivers (v3.3.5.5) for all supported devices, the Line 6 Monkey intelligent updater (v1.23) and Preference Panel (v3.32).
See the GearBox manual page for step-by-step installation instructions and detailed setup info for use with many recording applications.
For owners of eligible Line 6 hardware - other than TonePort DI Silver or Gold Plug-in Bundle or TonePort UX8 - plug-in processing requires the purchase and activation of a license from the Line 6 Online Store.

The driver will probably fix the problem that windows doesn't send any sounds back to the POD cause it wasn't a signed driver. And I'm very happy with the Gearbox ... FINALLY!!!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Help me out here. If I fire up the Control Panel I WXP, add remove programs all of the versions of Gearbox are still listed. Is is safe to uninstall these? I mean will it trash the latest install? It seems like it would not but I am not sure.

OK, never mind. Version 3.6 took care of all of them, it is not even listed as Gearbox in Add/Remove now.
